On Wednesday, Tinc took part in the webinar ‘An Introduction to Live Event Safety’, put on by the Event Safety Alliance’s (ESA) Founder, Jim Digby and Executive Vice President & Program Director of Take1 Insurance, Scott Carroll.

EventSafetyGuide2The main focus of the event was to speak about the strides the Event Safety Alliance and the industry have been taking to make sure we increase our safety as a whole as well as talk about the soon to be released Event Safety Guide.

The guide’s goal is to take the safety codes that are applicable to our industry from agencies such as the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the International Code Council (ICC), decipher and compile this information in one place and making it accessible to event industry professionals and their clients.

Having such a resource will make huge strides for event safety accountability and provide accessible documentation for live event professionals to utilize in planning their events and their emergency protocols.

The release in the next week of the guide is a critical step in increasing safety awareness within the event industry and helping to prevent future tragedies.
